Xcel Energy Third Quarter 2022 Earnings Report

Xcel Energy has reported 2022 third quarter GAAP and ongoing earnings of $649 million, or $1.18 per share, compared with $609 million, or $1.13 per share in the same period in 2021.  Earnings reflect capital investment recovery and other regulatory outcomes, partially offset by higher depreciation, interest expense and operating and maintenance (O&M) expenses.

“Xcel Energy had a strong third quarter – both operationally and financially – which has allowed us to narrow our 2022 earnings guidance to $3.14 to $3.19 per share,” said Bob Frenzel, Chairman, President and CEO of Xcel Energy.

SECOND QUARTER 2022 EARNINGS | XCEL

Xcel Energy reaffirms 2022 EPS earnings guidance range of $3.10 to $3.20.

Xcel Energy has reported 2022 second quarter GAAP and ongoing earnings of $328 million, or $0.60 per share, compared with $311 million, or $0.58 per share in the same period in 2021. Earnings reflect capital investment recovery and other regulatory outcomes, partially offset by higher depreciation, interest expense and operating and maintenance (O&M) expenses.

“We had a solid quarter and as a result we are reaffirming our 2022 earnings guidance of $3.10 to $3.20 per share,” said Bob Frenzel, Chairman, President and CEO of Xcel Energy. “We achieved a significant regulatory milestone with approval of our Colorado Electric Resource Plan. Executing this plan and our Power Pathway transmission project will secure affordable, resilient, clean energy for our customers, reducing carbon emissions eighty-five percent in the state by 2030, generating eighty percent of electricity from renewable sources by the same year and retiring all coal generation in the state by January 1, 2031.”

Xcel Energy was also recently honored with several leadership awards, being inducted into the Climate Leadership Hall of Fame and receiving the Hubert H. Humphrey Public Leadership Award for ground breaking sustainability goals.

WEC Energy Group Reports First-Quarter Results

WEC Energy Group has reported net income of $565.9 million, or $1.79 per share, for the first quarter of 2022, up from $510.1 million, or $1.61 per share, for last year's first quarter. Consolidated revenues totaled $2.9 billion, up $216.7 million from the first quarter a year ago.

"A colder than normal winter, a strong economy and the performance of our infrastructure segment were the major factors driving our first-quarter results," said Gale Klappa, Executive Chairman. "The year is off to a solid start as we continue to focus on the fundamentals of our business."

Alliant Energy Announces First Quarter 2022 Earnings

Alliant Energy Corporation has announced U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) consolidated unaudited earnings per share (EPS) for the three months ended March 31.

“We had a solid start to the year with more than 25 percent of our 2022 guidance midpoint coming in the first quarter, and we are reaffirming our 2022 guidance range of $2.67 to $2.81,” said John Larsen, Alliant Energy Chair, President and CEO. “We are also excited to share yet another major milestone in our purpose-driven clean energy transition, receiving verbal approval today for the remaining 414 megawatts of our nearly 1,100 megawatt proposed solar expansion in Wisconsin.”

WEC ENERGY GROUP RAISES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND BY 7.4 PERCENT
The Board of Directors of WEC Energy Group declared a quarterly cash dividend of 72.75 cents per share on the company's common stock, an increase of 7.4 percent over the current quarterly dividend of 67.75 cents per share. This raises the annual dividend rate to $2.91 per share. The higher dividend was paid on March 1, 2022, to stockholders of record on February 14, 2022. This marks the 318th consecutive quarter, dating back to 1942, that the company will have paid a dividend to its stockholders.

WEC ENERGY GROUP POSTS 2021 RESULTS
WEC Energy Group has reported net income of $1.3 billion, or $4.11 per share, for 2021. This compares to earnings of $1.2 billion, or $3.79 per share, for 2020 — a year-over-year increase of 8.4 percent. For the fourth quarter of 2021, WEC Energy Group recorded net income of $224.2 million, or 71 cents per share. This compares to earnings of $239 million, or 76 cents per share, for the fourth quarter of 2020. Consolidated revenues totaled $8.3 billion for 2021, up $1.1 billion compared to 2020 revenues.

XCEL ENERGY THIRD-QUARTER 2021 EARNINGS REPORTED
Xcel Energy has reported 2021 third-quarter GAAP and ongoing earnings of $609 million, or $1.13 per share, compared with $603 million, or $1.14 per share, in the same period in 2020. Earnings reflect higher electric and natural gas margins and lower operating and maintenance (O&M) expenses, which were offset by additional depreciation and lower allowance for funds used during construction.

Xcel Energy posted strong year-to-date results, and is narrowing its 2021 earnings guidance to $2.94 to $2.98 per share. It is also issuing an updated capital forecast of $26 billion for 2022 to 2026, which will provide significant benefits to customers, help the company achieve its system goals by 2050, and drive rate base growth of 6.5 percent. In addition, the company is initiating 2022 earnings guidance of $3.10 to $3.20 per share, which is consistent with long-term growth objectives.

WEC ENERGY GROUP REPORTS SECOND-QUARTER RESULTS
WEC Energy Group has reported net income of $276.0 million, or 87 cents per share, for the second quarter of 2021 – up from $241.6 million, or 76 cents per share, for the second quarter last year. For the first six months of 2021, the company recorded net income of $786.1 million, or $2.49 per share – up from $694.1 million, or $2.19 per share, in the corresponding period a year ago. Consolidated revenues totaled $4.4 billion for the first six months of 2021, up $710.3 million from revenues for the first half of 2020.

MGE Energy has reported second-quarter net income of $22.9 million. The company said it had profit of 63 cents per share. The public utility holding company posted revenue of $130.7 million in the period. MGE shares have increased thirteen percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased twenty-two percent in the last 12 months.
ALLIANT ENERGY ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER 2021 RESULTS
Alliant Energy Corporation has announced U.S. generally accepted accounting principles consolidated unaudited earnings per share (EPS) for the three months ended June 30 as follows:

XCEL ENERGY ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER 2020 EARNINGS

Xcel Energy has reported 2020 second quarter GAAP and ongoing earnings of $287 million, or $0.54 per share, compared with $238 million, or $0.46 per share in the same period in 2019.

“Despite lower sales due to COVID-19, Xcel Energy achieved strong second quarter results primarily due to the positive impact of weather and cost management efforts. We are on track with our financial plan and are reaffirming our 2020 earnings guidance of $2.73 to $2.83 per share. However, we’ll continue to monitor and manage through the economic uncertainty of this pandemic,” said Ben Fowke, chairman and CEO of Xcel Energy.

WEC ENERGY GROUP RAISES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND
WEC Energy has declared a quarterly cash dividend of 63.25 cents per share on the company’s common stock, an increase of 7 percent over the current quarterly dividend of 59 cents a share. This raises the annual dividend rate to $2.53 a share.

The higher dividend is payable March 1, 2020, to stockholders of record on February 14, 2020. This marks the 310th consecutive quarter — dating back to 1942 — that the company will have paid a dividend to its stockholders.


XCEL BOARD DECLARES DIVIDEND ON COMMON STOCK
The Board of Directors of Xcel Energy has declared a quarterly dividend on its common stock of 40.5 cents per share. The dividends were payable January 20, 2020, to shareholders of record on December 26, 2019.

MGE ENERGY REPORTS THIRD-QUARTER EARNINGS

MGE Energy has reported financial results for the third quarter of 2019. MGE Energy’s earnings for the third quarter of 2019 were $30.7 million, or 88 cents per share, compared to $29.5 million, or 85 cents per share, for the same period in the prior year. During the third quarter of 2019, an increase in owned renewable generation assets contributed to electric earnings growth compared to the prior year. The completion of the Saratoga Wind Farm added generation assets in 2019. The Two Creeks and Badger Hollow Solar projects are under construction and expected to be completed by the end of 2020. Electric retail sales remained relatively flat quarter over quarter. The average daily temperature for both the three months ended September 30, 2019 and 2018 was measured at normal levels.

ALLIANT ENERGY ANNOUNCES THIRD QUARTER RESULTS

Alliant Energy Corporation has announced U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and non-GAAP consolidated unaudited earnings per share (EPS) for the three months ended September 30 as follows:
“As we advance our commitment to cleaner energy and affordable customer options, we are investing in renewable energy and distribution system enhancements,” said John Larsen, Alliant Energy Chairman, President and CEO. “We raised our 2019 earnings guidance to a range of $2.27 to $2.33 per share, largely due to the benefits of weather during the first nine months of this year. I am also pleased to share that our Board of Directors has approved a 7 percent increase to our annual common stock dividend target, raising it to $1.52 per share for 2020.”

WEC ENERGY GROUP POSTS THIRD-QUARTER RESULTS

WEC Energy Group has reported net income of $234.3 million, or 74 cents per share for the third quarter of 2019. This compares to earnings of $233.2 million, or 74 cents per share for last year’s third quarter. For the first nine months of 2019, the company recorded net income of $890.1 million, or $2.81 per share — up from $854.3 million, or $2.70 per share, in the corresponding period a year ago. Consolidated revenues for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2019, were $1.6 billion and $5.6 billion, respectively, both level with the comparable periods in 2018. “We delivered a solid third quarter despite summer temperatures that were cooler than last year and destructive July storms — including nine tornadoes — that caused extensive damage to our distribution network,” said Gale Klappa, Executive Chairman.

XCEL ENERGY REPORTS THIRD QUARTER 2019 EARNINGS

Xcel Energy has reported 2019 third quarter GAAP and ongoing earnings of $527 million, or $1.01 per share, compared with $491 million, or $0.96 per share in the same period in 2018. Earnings reflect higher electric margins primarily due to non-fuel riders, regulatory rate outcomes and lower O&M expenses, partially offset by lower AFUDC, increased depreciation, and interest expenses.
“Xcel Energy achieved solid quarterly results and as a result we have narrowed our expected earnings to the upper half of our 2019 guidance range. In addition we have issued 2020 earnings guidance of $2.73 to $2.83 per share, which is consistent with our 5-7% growth objective,” said Ben Fowke, chairman, president and CEO of Xcel Energy.
“We have planned capital investments of $22 billion in the next five years to continue our clean energy transition, expand our renewable portfolio and enhance and protect service reliability. These investments will deliver economic and environmental benefits for our shareholders, customers and stakeholders while supporting our drive to achieve an 80 percent reduction in carbon emissions by 2030.”
