ALLIANT ENERGY NAMED A TOP UTILITY IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Site Selector Magazine announced for the fifth consecutive year that Alliant Energy has earned their Top Utility in Economic Development honor. The annual list recognizes the company for its contributions to local community development and job creation.

In its September issue, Site Selection credits Alliant Energy’s economic development team, in collaboration with local, regional and state economic development partners in Iowa and Wisconsin, for delivering nearly $2.1 billion in new capital investment and creating more than 3,900 new jobs in 2022.

Alliant Energy is one of 20 companies nationally named to the list and the only one in Iowa and Wisconsin. In all, there are 3,300 utility companies, including 900 electric cooperatives, in the United States.


PEOPLES GAS HONORED AS ONE OF NATION’S MOST TRUSTED UTILITY COMPANIES

For the fourth time in the past five years, Peoples Gas, a subsidiary of WEC, has been recognized as one of the nation’s top utility companies for exceptional customer service and community support. The company has been named a 2023 Most Trusted Brand in a nationwide study by Escalent, a top human behavior and analytics advisory firm. Peoples Gas received the second-highest Brand Trust Index score in the Midwest among natural gas service-only utilities.

In addition to its strong customer service and community support, Peoples Gas received the Most Trusted Utility Brand honor due to its communications effectiveness, reliable quality, environmental dedication and company reputation.


WE ENERGIES FOUNDATION AWARDS $100,000 TO FIRST RESPONDERS

The We Energies Foundation is awarding $100,000 to police, fire and medical first responders across the state through its fourth annual Rewarding Responders Grant program. The grants will be used to purchase life-saving equipment. 

“It is our honor to support the brave men and women making our communities safer places for everyone,” said Beth Straka, president — We Energies Foundation. “This program’s true reward lies in what doesn’t happen — the lives that remain unchanged, the moments we never have to remember — because our first responders had the lifesaving tools needed to make a difference.”
